In 2008, I joined the staff at the American Visionary Art Museum to assist the museum in as many ways as possible. I had many fantastic opportunities including building out pages and content for the launch of an upgraded website, taking photos for the museum to be used for marketing and promotions, designing flyers, posters, media guides, ads, tickets, credentials, presentations, and more, and directing the marketing and communications for this one-of-a-kind museum.

In 2016, I revamped the American Visonary Art Museum's Media Guide. For this newly expanded guide, I designed the full book in InDesign, and edited all existing content, along with developing some new content. As both a printed piece and a shareable digital PDF, this guide was designed for the press with the goal of streamlining the information sharing process. This way, a journalist who had never been to the museum before could open one PDF or printed book, and get a full overview of the Museum's history, permanent collection, current exhibitions, educational programming, public events, and find answers to the most common questions. Photos are essential to help tell this story, so the book is filled with vivid images by some of the best photographers & artwork by the visionary artists who are part of the museum's collection. The response from members of the press was outstanding, and producing this book helped cut down on repetitive email replies for the most frequently asked questions.
