I feel incredibly privileged to have collaborated with so many amazing musicians and bands, and to create visual representations of their music for albums, singles, show posters, etc. My approach is to start with listening and absorbing as much of their music as I can (early rough mixes are the best!) – then I let the ideas flow and sketch freely until something sparks. Usually, somewhere near the end of the process the idea finally all comes together on paper or screen, and it’s really exciting when I’ve pushed myself by taking some chances with the art.
