NickPrevasGreetings! My name is Nick Prevas. I’m a multimedia designer, illustrator & filmmaker from Baltimore, MD. I specialize in creating engaging and inviting websites, colorful print designs, and one-of-a-kind original illustrations. I’ve had the privilege of working with a variety of clients, like small businesses, independent artists, musicians, arts organizations and museums. I code using HTML, PHP, and CSS, and create original and customized themes for WordPress too. On the web, I’m constantly thinking about creating an interactive user experience that is both captivating and participatory. I also like to incorporate my love for mixed media into my work, and always look for ways to include a few handmade elements in my digital work.

I studied filmmaking in the Visual Arts department at UMBC, and after graduating, I moved to Los Angeles, CA, where I worked on a variety of independent and studio productions. Since college, I have written, directed, and edited a collection of my own short films (you can see some on my Vimeo page), and I have been fortunate enough to screen my work at various festivals and galleries across the country—including the San Antonio Film Festival, Maryland Film Festival, New York and Chicago Underground Film Festivals, Area 405, The Metro Gallery, and more. I continue to work on personal and some commercial video projects, and enjoy “geeking out” on the latest gear for my Canon DSLR.

I live in Hampden with my amazingly talented wife, Jill, our baby daughter, one cat and one very energetic puppy. In my free time, I play guitar and write songs with my band, Mink Hollow, draw shrinky dink portraits of my friends, silkscreen t-shirts, try new craft beers, and take panoramic photos while traveling. Thanks for checking out my site, and drop me a line if you’d like to connect—I’d love to hear from you!
